“Small Steps gives our officers a fun and interactive way to help them take control of their overall health,” said Ken Glover, Director of Health & Wellness and Ergonomics.

“We developed this program specifically for CSX Police Officers based on the success of the company-wide Small Steps program. Small Steps gives our officers a fun and interactive way to help them take control of their overall health,” said Ken Glover, Director of Health & Wellness and Ergonomics.

Participants in the program have the ability to monitor their walking progress by a variety of different metrics including, total steps walked and calories burned. The program also includes participant rankings by step count and activity levels.

Officers also have the option of walking a variety of different courses within the CSX system.

“Our hope is that our officers will use this innovative program to help improve the quality of their health and life and this Police Small Steps Program also coincides with the department’s Police Physical Abilities Testing (PAT) program which kicked off earlier this year,” said Bill Laubenheimer, Chief of CSX Police.
