You have chosen a wonderful way to build community and transform public spaces through aesthetic and environmental improvement! Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) recently received $7500 from the Alliance for Community Trees (ACT) for our May 22nd Trees for Tracks project with CSX Corporation, and we wanted to thank CSX for its support of this project. The gift from ACT will provide for maintenance for the 50 trees planted on May 22, 2010 as part of the Triangle Gateway project on Morris St. in Indianapolis.

The Trees for Tracks Triangle Gateway project has been one of the highlights of the year.

KIB is planting trees because research has shown that trees are beneficial to neighborhoods in many different ways. Our NeighborWoods goal is to plant 100,000 large trees in Indianapolis in 10 years, and we're well on our way to that goal, thanks to support from concerned citizens like CSX Corporation.

KIB truly appreciates CSX's partnership and generous support in working together towards the successful execution of this neighborhood project. We had a great experience working with Pam Ilnicki from Corporate Citizenship, and we appreciate all of the hard work she put into making sure this project was a success. Likewise, participation from local CSX folks Tom Drake and John Bradley only reinforced our positive impression of the organization.

The Trees for Tracks Triangle Gateway project has been one of the highlights of the year for KIB, and we look forward to partnering with CSX on future initiatives. Best of luck with Trees for Tracks!

Thanks again for your support!
