The special ceremony included recognition of veterans and a flag retirement service.

On a chilly November 4, CSX employees gathered at the Huntington Locomotive Shops in Huntington, WV to celebrate the Fourth Annual CSX Military Appreciation Day. The event was co-hosted by the Huntington Inclusion Council and the Huntington Locomotive Shops as a special way to honor their military veterans, including retirees. Approximately 75 people enjoyed a special ceremony that included recognition of veterans and a flag retirement service. Don Young, VFW state adjutant and quartermaster, was the event’s guest speaker. The ceremony was followed by a luncheon.

Crittenden Middle School is the math, science and technology magnet school for the city of Newport News. 90 volunteers from CSX, City Year and the Newport News community will come together to provide the school with new picnic tables, an outdoor classroom, a vegetable & butterfly garden and new murals.
