It looked like a normal workday as CSX Foreman Joey Davis and Vehicle Operator Josh Chunn left their Lewisburg headquarters for their assignment. But soon they came upon something unusual as they drove along the road adjacent to CSX tracks.

Employee Prevents Injury to Child at Crossing

Nappannee, IN —

Staffing a CSX safety blitz at a grade crossing during the Nappanee Apple Festival, a CSX engineer made a major contribution to the safety of a particular pedestrian attending the area festival.

Gladstone, VA —

Track Inspector Ralph Tucker was waiting for an expected coal train to pass before beginning his inspection. As is his habit, he was walking along and checking conditions there when he spotted a young child sitting unattended in the middle of the tracks.

Toledo, OH —

Lake Township in Northwest Ohio experienced its worst natural disaster ever as a strong tornado hit in the late hours of night. In the immediate aftermath, CSX representatives took action.

CSX-City Year Trees for Tracks Event at Matthew W. Gilbert Middle School

5/26 in Jacksonville, FL —

In partnership with ACTrees, Greenscape, HDR Engineering and the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), 75 volunteers will plant 62 trees at Matthew W. Gilbert Middle School. Volunteers will also installing benches & new pathways. The middle school serves students in the Eastside neighborhood of Jacksonville.
