CSX Joins Holiday Drive to Help Families in Baltimore

More than 300 Baltimore-area families enjoyed a happier holiday season thanks to the Preston Mitchum, Jr. Foundation and support from CSX.

CSX and its charitable partner Dignity U Wear delivered more than 1,500 clothing items to the Foundation’s 2014 Holiday Drive, which provides toys and clothing to local families in need. CSX employees Brian Hammock, Resident Vice President, and Molly Mitzner, Community Engagement Specialist, participated in the Dec. 19 distribution event at Lansdowne Elementary School in Baltimore.

“The school is right near our Baltimore Division office in Halethorpe, so this was a great way to reach out to our neighbors,” Molly said. “After school, families in need were able to come to the drive to pick out a few clothing items and toys for their families, and the parents were all very appreciative of the ability to make choices about what their families would like for the holiday.”
