CSX Intermodal Terminals Participates in "Operation Nez Rouge"

On December 13, 2014, a group of 7 CSX Intermodal Terminals employees and their guests spent time volunteering with a Canadian organization to safely transport 30 people who couldn’t operate a motor vehicle due to alcohol consumption. Opération nez rouge, or in English, Operation Red Nose, is an organization that uses volunteers to offer a free ride home for individuals that are under the influence of alcohol during the holiday season.

The volunteers worked in teams whereby one volunteer drove passengers in their own car, while another member of the team followed in another car to pick up the volunteer driver. Volunteers representing CSX included Jacques Séguin, Amir Derbala, Jocelyne Laberge, Chantal Laberge, Luc Desjardins, Johanne O’Neil and Diane Yelle.

While this is a free service the volunteers strongly encouraged donations for La Fondation Tournesol, and organization that helps children with special needs. As a result, the volunteers were able to raise $300 for the charity.
