Many CSX employees are leaders in service in their communities. To recognize their efforts, and promote the value of service, CSX partners with the Jefferson Awards Foundation, the nation's most prestigious and longest-standing organization dedicated to powering and celebrating public service.
What is the Jefferson Awards Foundation?
The Jefferson Awards Foundation works with over 200 organizations that share the foundation's vision and values. Since its origins in 1972, the Jefferson Awards Foundation has honored over 60,000 grassroots unsung heroes and trained over 20,000 young people to become community leaders.
Jefferson Awards are given to both local unsung heroes and national figures such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Tom Brokaw, Mariano Rivera, Elie Wiesel, and Oprah Winfrey.
How does it work?
Every year, CSX will recognize up to 12 employees with Jefferson Awards. An internal review committee will select the top 3 awardees, and the Jefferson Awards Foundation will select one outstanding CSX awardee for national recognition at the awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
We need your help!
