CSX Public Safety & Education Group Participates in Student Science Fair

CSX volunteers recently had the opportunity to participate in a science fair at Jacksonville’s Sheffield Elementary School (K through 5th grade). At the CSX table, students had fun planting vegetable seeds and learning about the process of photosynthesis. Volunteers also provided a water process demonstration explaining how CSX treats wastewater with special chemicals to restore it for re-use in the environment.

To commemorate the event, which hosted over 400 student and family participants, CSX presented a framed Earth Day poster to the school. The evening was a huge success!
