CSX Makes $10,000 Donation to PENCIL to Support New York Public Schools

CSX provided a $10,000 grant for computer upgrades at Public School 26 in Staten Island, New York, through PENCIL. PENCIL builds and supports relationships between business leaders like CSX and area school principals to inspire and transform public schools in and around New York City.

Bill Goetz, CSX Resident Vice President for State Government & Community Affairs, and Lou Frangella, CSX Public Affairs & Safety Supervisor, visited Public School 26's classes during PENCIL's Principal For A Day event.

"CSX is proud to support the PENCIL program because we are making a difference within the core communities in which we operate," said Goetz. "Helping to provide a better future for these children by giving them the tools they need to learn is another way CSX is giving back."
