A recent $5,000 donation from CSX to the city of Lake Township, Ohio, has begun to pay dividends. The contribution, in part, helped support the purchase of a new addition to the local K-9 program. Alex, a 14-month old Belgian Malawa shown here with his handler, Sergeant Scott Simms, recently aided in a $1 million drug bust.

With only three weeks in service, Alex has made a huge contribution to the team and Sergeant Simms is looking forward to many more. "The K-9s have been a great asset to our department," Sims said. "They will help us put an end to drug trafficking in the area. And, if the service of a drug dog is needed within the CSX Terminal, officials already know who to call."
