Early on the morning of September 26, more than 320 CSX employees came out to Metropolitan Park for the American Heart Association's Annual Heart Walk. The company tent was manned by CSX employees Michael Kennedy, Pat Weyand and Jenny Watson who were kept busy greeting fellow employees and their families and handing out t-shirts.

The American Heart Association would like to thank the more than 320 walkers from CSX who raised close to $150,000 at the Heart Walk on September 26!

The event started out with a moving rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Then, team pictures were taken so that walkers could get to the opening walk ceremony, which included a ribbon-cutting at the start of the walk route. CSX employees walked amongst thousands of other participants representing their various companies or family traditions.

Many CSX departments and groups came together to make this event a huge success, collectively raising nearly $150,000. With heart disease being a leading cause of death and affecting many families, CSX employees showed their commitment to healthy habits and living a healthy lifestyle by contributing to the American Heart Association and taking small steps together to make a huge difference.
