CSX Volunteers Construct Greenhouse at Local School

Recently three members of the Design and Construction Department of the Atlanta District Office constructed a greenhouse for Fitzhugh Lee Special Education School located in Smyrna, Georgia. These members used technical skills that they use every day in building roadbeds and tracks for CSX, to install the foundation and greenhouse.

Crittenden Middle School is the math, science and technology magnet school for the city of Newport News. 90 volunteers from CSX, City Year and the Newport News community will come together to provide the school with new picnic tables, an outdoor classroom, a vegetable & butterfly garden and new murals.
